All pilots need to complete MRS CASA  application before attending for the medical.  Please follow below steps-

1) To start your application please use by logging into you my casa portal, then select aviation medical   .  Once you complete your application you will be notified by CASA on what tests you need.  Tests are usually only required for class 1 medicals. You will need to pay CASA  fee application fee. (around $75 Class 1 and $40 for class 2).  Please continue application after paying fee till you get a confirmation of application submission message. Please don’t stop /close application prior to that. If you need a  Aviation reference number (ARN) . Please down load form 1162 from CASA website or apply on line.

2) Book your appointment online with us (you would need pay your examination fee at the time of booking your  appointment) or call 0415472034. We reserve the right to change your appointment day and time due to unforeseen circumstances. Our processing time is 1-3 weeks and CASA may need another 1-3 weeks.

3) If you need to do a eye examination, only use a CASA approved ophthalmologist (see CASA website-) or optometrist for example- Mr. Michael Mihalidis 28/2A Cross St Hurstville, NSW 2220 PH:0295805766. Cost around $100.

4) If you need a blood test (fasting sugars and lipid profile – Cholesterol/HDL/triglycerides) ,please booked it directly online  via  iMedical | Confidential Private Blood Test Australia wide  (chose option under c -cholestrol/Trig/HDL/LDL and under G- glucose fasting. Print and get bloods via Laverty pathology if possible) . Costs arond $56. Then email us the results or request pathology company to send a copy to Dr.Rahul Mehan @ East Corrimal Medical Centre.  Please see above photos.

5) If required our doctor can do  ECG ($55) and Audio ($55)   during consultation.  If you get ECG  / Audio from for your GP then we need the s trace and just the report. You can get ECG via imedical.com.au , chose under option E- ECG. 

6) The tests are not Medicare claimable but if you had these done by your GP in last 2 months, please bring the copies and you don’t need to repeat them or  email us your reports ASAP.

7) Once your application is done, please don’t not text us at odd hours for application status. Best to call head office @ East Corrimal Medical Centre Ph: 0242844677 or 0415472034Mon-Fri 9-5 and speak to reception / manager.

8) Appointments can be made online, or by calling PH: 0415472034. Flinders Centre, 25 Restwell Street, Bankstown, NSW (Wednesday by appointment only). KMC, Harden clinic is usually on Monday and Tuesday. East Corrimal  Medical Centre appointments are available from Thursday to Friday.  

9)Patients in Sydney regions should also register as a patient with our branch medical practice at Bankstown via   downloading the new patient registration form from our main office website www.ecmc.net.au or click on form – as above. Please email complete application form and driver’s license plus Medicare card to admin@ecmc.net.au

10) CASA has 3 types of international medicals (all valid in Australia and  overseas) –

Class 1 usually for commercial pilots . Medical done by our doctors but certificate is issued by CASA.  It may take 4-6 weeks if you need specialist reports or are under CASA audit.

Class 2 usually for private pilots . Medical is done by our doctors and a certificate may be issued on the spot, if you have all reports and not under CASA audit.

Class 3 for air traffic controllers . Medical is done by our doctors but the certificate is issued by CASA, as with Class 1 , see above

CASA also has other medicals,-

Basic class 2 certificate -.It is also restricted to VFR flying. You can carry 5 passengers. It can be issued immediately.

Recreational aviation Australia (RaAus) medical certificate. Medical done by Dr.Mehan and certificate is flexible.
